Linking a component to a block imports its parameters with Datasheet source. See more about parts parts

Linking a component to a block​

  1. Select a block on the canvas
  2. Click the button 'Link Part'
  3. Click Select

The block's parameters are updated from the component's datasheet specs. All linked parameters are marked with Datasheet source.

Parameters not covered by the component spec remain unchanged.

Using datasheet parameters​

If a component is not in the library, you can use AI to parse it's specs. See datasheet parsing Extracted values are populated in the form for you to review and confirm before linking. Accuracy depends on PDF quality and table formatting.

Unlinking a component​

Click Unlink in the block's component section. The parameter values remain on the block but provenance changes to User source. The connection to the library entry is removed.

Limitations​

  • The library does not integrate with live distributor APIs (Digi-Key, Mouser).
  • The library is a work in progress and not comprehensive.
  • Datasheet PDF parsing accuracy varies. Always review AI-extracted parameters before accepting.
  • Component availability and pricing are currently not faithfully tracked.
  • Parts filtering by frequency defaults to constant LO bandwidth calculations
